Belindas del Camapanario is perfectly located on the south Coast of Spain in the Province of Malaga. The nearest airport is approximately 40km West of Malaga on the AP-7 highway and is within easy travelling distance to several golf courses and the popular holiday destinations of Marbella which is 10 minutes away and Fuengirola. It is 3 minutes from one of the most beautiful harbours on the coast, port of Cabopino and 25 minutes from Puerto Banus.

Sitio de Calahonda itself is a more family orientated area with the local beach approximately 10mins walk away from the property.

The Strip

As you come out of Belindas Camanaprio and turn left down the hill, there is an area of shops and restaurants locally known as ‘the strip.’ Here you will find many different types of shops, restaurants and bars including Mexican, Chinese, Indian and Spanish.   There is also a minimarket here also which sells groceries you will need. There is a cash machine available for you to use too.

Local amenities

Pharmacy: There are many pharmacies in Calahonda. The nearest one is down the hill and at the roundabout you will see a shopping centre, you will find farmacia Zoco Calahonda here.

Hospital: There is a medial centre in Calahonda located on the otherside of the roundabout at the bottom of Avda de Espana. Hospital Costa del Sol can be found just off the A-7 towards Marbella

Supermarket: There are several supermarkets in Calahonda. There are 2 Supersol supermrkets within walking distance (approx half a mile)

Tourist Information: You will find this information centre on ‘the strip’ just a few minutes’ walk from the property. Here you will find information leaflets for various different local activities. They can also make Doctors’ appointments for you.

Royal beach bar – Calahonda Beach

If you wanted to explore the local area further then there is an accessible transit bus that connects the Costa del Sol via Malaga and Marbella, or there are car rental companies in Sitio de Calahonda itself. This gives the freedom to explore the exclusive beaches of Marbella

or enjoy the laid back Spanish lifestyle of Marbella old town.

Or if it is a bit more excitement you are after then the water parks of Fuengirola and Mijas are within driving distance and make excellent days out whether you are 6 or 60. There is so much to see and do on the Costa del Sol, we are sure  Beindas del Campanario is in the perfect location for you to start exploring this beautiful area of Southern Spain.

Parking:

If you are hiring a car, then you can park your vehicle on the roads outside the property. There are no time restrictions when parking immediately outside the development or in the vicinity.

Skiing:

If it is the colder weather you are after then Calahonda House is a perfect base to explore the mountains of Sierra Nevada.  This mountain range is only a 2 hour drive from Calahonda and it offers lots of snow activities for all the family, including ski school, creche, snow play, skiing, snowboarding, apres ski to name just a few.

Cant decide whether to holiday on the beach or the slopes?  Then why not do both:

Traditionally on the last day of the skiing season, towards the end of April, skiers will take to the slopes wearing, not bobble hats and scarves, but bikinis and shorts.  After descending down the 100+ ski runs, why not drive to one of the beaches near Calahonda to enjoy the rest of your holiday.
